Kimi Code CLI is a terminal AI coding agent from Moonshot AI that reads and edits code, runs shell commands, searches files, fetches web pages, and picks its next step from the feedback it gets. It ships as a single binary (no Node.js), starts in milliseconds, and adds video input, conversational MCP setup, a plugin marketplace for skills and data sources, built-in coder/explore/plan subagents, and lifecycle hooks. It speaks the Agent Client Protocol, so ACP editors like Zed and JetBrains can drive a session. Works out of the box with Kimi models and configurable to other OpenAI-compatible providers.
